Oh, where do I start? I got my precious Nova yesterday. I may be a little biased but she’s the most amazing bird I’ve ever met. It’s so obvious how much time Amy puts into each bird. Miss Nova didn’t need any down time to adjust to being the center of attention. She will let anyone love on her or interact with her without any hesitation and came through the door like she was always meant to be here. I could not be happier with her and the fact I came across Birds in the Dog House and would recommend them to anyone and everyone I know. If I decide miss Nova needs a buddy, I will def be back to Amy but for now am absolutely loving every single second with Nova. Absolutely adore her so much. Amy is amazing.

I have always had a fear of birds and have never touched one. It took 86 years to overcome this phobia and touch a bird for the first time, but I did it! I even rode in the car for 3 hours joining Amy and 7 birds on a road trip!
Overcame a Fear!
. I can tell you that having a bird has done wonders for my autistic daughter, who is pictured holding Pogo. She says “You form a genuine connection with them that is not like other animals. When you are with a bird you learn a lot from their body language, they show their emotions through fluffing or relaxing their feathers, and their eyes tell you a lot too. You have to earn their trust, but once they accept you it’s incredible. You find out how smart, how kind, how playful they are.”

I don’t even know where to begin on how Amy helped me through my process on getting my beloved Atticus. She offered me the opportunity to be my bird buddy and teach literally all I know now on the care of an Indian ring neck. She never left me on read when I messaged no matter what time it was. She was kind, funny, and the best kind of genuine you’ll ever meet. She helped me pick a cage and when it was pick up time, she asked me to meet early so she can teach me how to hand feed him. She didn’t have to do that. She absolutely set me up for success and I’m forever grateful for her. Thank you, Amy, ❤️

Amy is 100% the best hand raiser I have ever dealt with. I was looking for a blue turquoise IRN all over and decided to reach out to her for my baby. So happy she had a few males available, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. She is so accommodating, and her husband even transported my bird for me. You won't find that anywhere. My bird arrived so sweet and HEALTHY! I love that she believes in keeping her birds as natural as possible without clipping their wings. She constantly sends updates with pictures and videos so you can feel at peace with your purchase. I also love that she does genetic testing to ensure the birds are in fact healthy. What she describes is what you get. She also sends out an email with information to get you and your bird off to a great start. Please don't look anywhere else to get your bird she is amazing! I 100% recommend Amy for adopting your bird baby💙 I was looking forever to find a bird to adopt, and someone referred me to her as had many others in the area I was searching. I found her and messaged her, and she invited me to see the babies the next day. From seeing what she does to make sure the babies are loved and socialized are amazing and when I met ducky that first day I fell in love!! Amy is awesome and does everything she can to make sure the birdies are in tip top shape to go home to their forever homes. She hand feeds them herself along with socializing them and gives you great tips on how to keep your bird healthy and even follow ups after adopting to make sure they are still doing well. Something I love about adopting ducky from her is knowing my bird has been loved since her hatch date and being able to trust that every information I have been given has been at ducky’s best interest. I completely support Amy in everything she is doing and can’t wait for her amazing business to start. Thank you, Amy, for everything!! 💙
